I’m Peter Ritchie, a landscape photographer with a deep appreciation for the beautiful places found across Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland and Scotland. Photography began for me as a simple way to capture the beauty of the places I loved visiting, but it quickly became something more. Spending time outdoors - watching the light change across a mountain range, hearing waves break along a quiet stretch of coast, or standing in the stillness of an early morning landscape - made me realise how powerful these moments can be. Photography allows me to preserve those experiences and share them with others.

Much of my work focuses on landscapes and coastal scenes. Rugged coastlines, dramatic cliffs, ancient architecture, rolling hills, and ever-changing weather provide endless inspiration. I’m particularly drawn to the atmosphere of a place: soft light after a storm, mist drifting through valleys, or the calm that arrives at the end of the day as the sun sets over the sea.

This website brings together a portfolio of images captured during my travels and time exploring these locations. Alongside the portfolio, I offer a selection of fine art photographic prints so that others can bring a piece of these places into their homes or workspaces.

Each photograph represents a moment spent in a landscape that felt special - sometimes planned, sometimes completely unexpected. My hope is that these images not only showcase the beauty of these regions but also inspire others to explore and appreciate them.
